Florent Pagny was born on November 6, 1961 in Chalon-sur-Saône.He began his singing career at the age of 13, in cafes and bars, singing songs by Luis Mariano , Michel Sardou and Gérard Lenorman . At 16, he moved to Paris and began his artistic career as a film actor. He wrote and composed his first song in 1987, "n'importe quoi", dedicated to his brother and which was followed by several hits. His musical career was launched. Criticized for his romantic relationship with Vanessa Paradis who was only 15 years old when he was 26 himself, the sales of his records drop off a bit especially after he criticized back the journalists community with his song "Presse qui roule". Jean Jacques Goldman composed several titles for him which will have great success and will allow him to reconnect with his first time glory. He has already sold more than 15 million records.In 1997, he left France and lived alternately between Patagonia and his native country. His official living residence has been in Portugal since 2017. From 2012 to 2018, he was a member of the jury for the television program The Voice: La Plus Belle Voix en France.
