Presentation :
The Cure are an English rock band, founded in 1976 in Crawley, West Sussex. Constant member since the foundation of the group, Robert Smith is the singer, lyricist and main composer of the group, keyboardist and guitarist, he is emblematic of this cult group and currently accompanied by Roger O'Donnell on keyboards, Simon Gallup on bass, Reeves Gabrels on guitar and Jason Cooper on drums. The Cure, closely linked to New Wave movements and punk rock revolution, has created over time its own musical identity, with contrasting melodies, sometimes melancholic, gothic, psychedelic, always dark and tormented. The Cure climbed to the top of the charts in the 80s with their album "pornography" , always performing in front of a growing audience. Their numerous video clips made them even more popular around the globe. The Curemania movement spread within their fans who copied their clothing and hairstyle. Even if since 1993, the group has sold fewer records, they still play for full concert halls.
