Alain Bashung, was born on December 1st, 1947 in Paris. He died at the age of 61 after a two-year fight with lung cancer, on March 14, 2009 in Paris.Song writer, composer and performer, he was also an actor. Despite a somewhat difficult start in his singing career, he gradually made a name for himself and becameemblematic of French rock and French song, after Serge Gainsbourg, in the early 80s.
